The Turkish Statistics Authority revealed the outcome of publishing books in the country during the past year, as academic books accounted for more than 16 percent of them.
According to the same source, Turkey has published nationwide 61,512 new printed books over the past year, in addition to 415 electronic books on the system (DVD, VCD, CD).
Also last year, 6,700 electronic books were published on the Internet, and 186 audio books were published via the cassette recording system in Turkey, according to “Anatolia.”
